Moisture-related damage to basement walls and undergrade structures is one of the most frequent damage symptoms as far as the reconstruction of buildings is concerned. Water can rise through fine pores (capillaries) and cracks in the component if the masonry is exposed to moisture-related stress. This water transport is stopped by the post-construction installation of horizontal water stops. For that purpose, an injection pump is used to inject a PU injection resin or an injection gel into the masonry via drill-hole packers through channels drilled prior to the injection process. The injection is implemented under pressure and produces a horizontal sealing in the masonry obstructing the capillaries. This durably prevents moisture from rising.
