WEBAC® 2100: hydrophobizing agent for making post-construction damp proof courses

WEBAC® 2100 is an extremely low viscosity injection material and impregnating agent. It is suitable for making post-construction damp proof courses against capillary rising moisture. Application ranges are damp brickwork, natural stone masonry and sand‑lime brickwork. WEBAC® 2100 contracts and waterproofs the capillary structure of brick masonry and concrete. It does not affect reinforcement steel. The high proportion of silicic acid reacts in damp and wet building materials to form a silicic gel which contracts and stabilizes the capillary structures at the same time – up to a degree of 50% moisture penetration in the building material.

WEBAC® 2100 forms a water-repellent barrier

Thanks to its hydrophobizing additives WEBAC® 2100 provides for a water-repellent capillary surface. If the material has spread well, the contraction of capillary structures and the hydrophobic qualities ensure an effective water-repellent barrier. The increased tension in the interfacial areas within the injection area prevents all renewed transport of moisture, even in case of a secondary capillary formation.

The application of WEBAC® 2100 on dry surfaces results in an immediate reaction which reduces the penetration depth. Like the solidification silicate WEBAC® 2061, WEBAC® 2100 is water-repellent after curing.
