WEBAC injection packers are used as connecting pieces between the structural element and the injection device for the injection of various materials. Steel packers or plastic packers are for instance used when sealing building structures and repairing cracks. Zerk or button head fittings located at the injection packer head form the connection to the pump.
Depending on the required pressure, the nature of the structural element and the injection material, different versions of packers are available.
Injections packers serving as filler necks: different types
Depending on the type of connection to the structural element one distinguishes between borehole packers and surface packers. Borehole packers are cylinder-shaped injection packers. They are installed in drill holes made especially for this purpose to serve as filler necks. Depending on the installation method of borehole packers a distinction is made between mechanical packers and hammer-in packers.
Surface packers are filler necks which are bonded directly to the crack – for example using epoxy putty WEBAC® 4520. Surface packers are used if a non-destructive injection process is required and the making of boreholes is prohibited.
All packers are usually equipped with high-pressure fittings as standard (except Ø 48 mm aluminum surface packer). They are also available with low-pressure fittings on request.
