WEBAC® 1440: injection resin with a tear resistant foam structure for sealing injections into masonry and concrete

WEBAC® 1440 is a highly flexible PU injection resin for sealing cracks in dry and damp areas. The resin is resistant to mechanical stress and forms a tear resistant foam structure. The two-component injection resin based on polyurethane is used for the closing, sealing and limited-flexibility bonding of structural elements. WEBAC® 1440 is suitable as post-construction damp proof course against capillary rising moisture in brick, quarrystone and natural masonry and combined masonry. Masonry containing cavities like for example quarrystone can be filled and stabilized with WEBAC® 1440.

WEBAC® 1440 cures to form a resin resistant to mechanical stress and of constant volume after the injection. Porous masonry and masonry containing cavities can thus be stabilized and their strength and watertightness be improved. WEBAC® 1440 is compatible with concrete, steel, foil, masonry mortars and cable sheathing.

Sealing of historic moat in Eutin, Germany, with WEBAC® 1440

WEBAC® 1440 was among other things used for restoring the overbuilt vaults of the historic moat in Eutin, Germany. Here, the gradual escape of the interstitial water from the grain structure of the foundation soil led to subsidence and consolidation of the foundation soil. This resulted in the rearrangement of the stonewalled vault, giving rise to cavities in the structure and to leaks. After filling the existing cavities with a cement suspension, the joints in the masonry and the surfaces between the filled cavities and vaults were successfully sealed and additionally stabilized with WEBAC® 1440.
